I wanted to keep the cottage in this print small in comparison to the hill to give perspective and dimension. I've always been drawn to the combination of natural landscapes with evidence of civilisation, whether it be a single road cutting through the mountains or a cosy cabin amidst the landscape. I like to keep the 'human element' small to really emphasise the impressiveness of the natural landscape.
