'Family'

'Family' depicts a pod of Orcas swimming silently in the moonlight. Orca Whales have always fascinated me, they seem to inhabit a polarised grey area where they are both revered and feared, but always respected. Well known for their social and family bonds they are often witnessed exploring, playing and communicating. To me there is something so endearing and familiar about the orca, while on the other hand they they are the 'wolves of the sea', apex predators that hunt ruthlessly. 

I find the look of the Orca so unique and they are a subject that naturally found its way in to my work. Having seen them swimming wild they are truly so beautiful and majestic. To me, these special creatures hold a magical quality.
